Before we get started, you might be wondering…
-
You'll find starting prices for each of my services on the homepage, but the final cost depends on what you have in mind. Factors like the length of the shoot, location and specific photography needs can affect pricing. Tell me a little about your project through my inquiry form, and I'll put together a personalized quote so you know exactly what to expect before booking.
-
Yes! A 25% retainer is required to reserve your date, with the remaining balance due 48 hours before your session or event.
-
There's a good chance! My portfolio is a sample of my work, not a complete list of what I can do. I'm always interested in trying something new, so tell me what you have in mind. We can talk through your vision and figure out if I'm the right photographer for the job.
-
The sooner, the better, especially for events with a fixed date. Usually, at least two weeks is best. That said, don't count yourself out if something comes up last minute. Reach out and I'll let you know what my schedule allows.
-
I'll review your inquiry and reach out to schedule a free consultation, usually over a quick phone or video call. This gives us a chance to get to know each other, talk through your ideas and discuss any questions you might have. From there, I'll put together a personalized quote based on your needs. If everything sounds good, we'll finalize the details, take care of the booking retainer and get your session or event on the calendar. Then comes the fun part!
-
I understand that plans can change, so I'm happy to accommodate rescheduling requests with at least 72 hours' notice, subject to availability, though I would keep the initial 25% deposit. We'll go over all payment and cancellation details before confirming your booking.
-
I work throughout the DMV, and I'm open to traveling farther for the right project. For anything more than 20 miles out of D.C, additional travel costs will apply.
-
You can reach me anytime via the inquiry form on the Quote page. Having all requests filtered through the form keeps me organized and less likely to miss a lone email.
-
Your finished photos will be delivered digitally, with details about downloading and accessing your images provided when they're ready.
-
Turnaround times depend on the size and type of shoot. I'll give you an estimated delivery date before we get started so you know when to expect your photos.
-
Absolutely! Your photos are meant to be seen. You're welcome to share them on social media, feature them on your website or use them to promote your work within our agreed-upon usage rights. I just ask that you credit me as the photographer whenever it makes sense.
-
Get a good night's sleep, eat beforehand and wear something that makes you feel comfortable and confident. Solid colors and simple patterns tend to photograph well, and it's always worth checking your outfit for wrinkles or distracting logos. Bring anything you might need for quick touch-ups, along with any additional outfits we've discussed.
Have a Pinterest board, favorite poses or a particular look in mind? Send them my way! Let me know if there are certain angles or features you'd like me to pay attention to, too.
And don't worry if posing isn't your strong suit. I'll help guide you throughout the session. You're also welcome to bring a friend or family member for moral support. A good hype crew never hurts!
-
Absolutely! You're welcome to bring a few outfit options to switch up your look during the session. Just let me know ahead of time so we can plan accordingly and make sure there's enough time for outfit changes. Depending on the number of looks you're going for, we may need to adjust the length of your session.
-
Absolutely! If you have specific shots, poses or ideas in mind, I'd love to hear them. Feel free to share a Pinterest board, reference photos or a shot list before our session so we can plan ahead. I'm happy to work from your inspiration while offering suggestions of my own. The more I know about what you're looking for, the better we can make use of our time together.

Yes, this is one of my favorite parts. If you have a place in mind, we can start there. Otherwise, we can talk through the look you're going for and find a setting that works for your photos.
