Usually Behind
the Camera

A Midwest native, I made the move to D.C. proper in 2021, and this city hasn't stopped surprising me since.

By day, I'm a career marketing and communications specialist. I've also spent the better part of a decade taking photos, both as a freelancer and through my work. Living in the DMV has given me a whole new appreciation for what I can do with a camera. Between the neighborhoods, the people and a music scene that keeps me busy (especially hip-hop, R&B, jazz and go-go), there's always something worth photographing. This region has welcomed me with open arms, and photography has become one of my favorite ways to give back.

A little more about me: I'm a certified blerd, a musician, an occasional fantasy writer and disturbingly good at dad jokes. I bring that same mix of curiosity and creativity to my photography, and I genuinely enjoy the process, from planning a shoot to putting the finishing touches on an edit.

When we work together, your vision comes first. We can build a Pinterest board, work through a detailed shot list or leave some room to improvise. I'm happy to take direction, offer ideas or figure things out alongside you. The goal is to make photos we're both excited about.

And while some of my favorite photos haven't made it onto this site just yet, I'm getting there. That includes my landscape photography, like this shot you see of me beneath the northern lights in Iceland.

Breathtaking, by the way. The lights, I mean.
